advanced menu - eyesensuals
reduced, vertical orientation
- concept was to distract the eyes as less as possible from the pictures of one of my mini websites 'EYESENSUALS' (opens in new window) and to reduce the menu and text visible at first glance to a minimum (the first menuitem and only thing you see on the page is just a small gif)
- the menu gets lighter in colours with each further hierarchy level
- items are overlapping to great extent, making it possible to stack many hierarchies at rather small overall width (to provide enough page space for the content)
- the menu is built with the same design idea in mind as at the individual image explaination that are done in traditional show/hide manier on the large image pages then.
- this kind of decent menu might not be understood by every user but it is not supposed to suffice everybody... (without sounding arrogant, artistic or experimental or cool, some sites and clients require other design concepts and are as valid as many other)
- for websites in general an additional of mere text links line at bottom of every page would be fine plus a sitemap so all pages would be accessible also from there, just in case a user would not find out how to navigate ;-)
(for demonstration only - no pagelinks added to the items)
