menu with clicked menuitems get highlighted on the followup-page
- it's very userfriendly to indicate the page where the user is at the moment by marking the appropiate menuitem
- this can be done that the navigation at every page is set individually or that rolloverbuttons get locked via javascript at each page
- with MenuMachine you can set this in the inspector on the individual page at the ‘Highlight’ tab.
- the clicked mainmenuitem, it's submenulayer and the correct submenuitem will stay open/highlighted
- have a try, roll over the menu on the left for demo reasons only five items (and the item to come back to this description here) can be clicked
- as you will see, opened layers require space on the page to not overlap any content, locking menu layer usage is recommened with rather short menuitems or having a large overlap or writing long items into two lines
- btw: I am using here a MenuMachine menu as a component
on each page I selected the menu, went to the inspector and set the item to be highlighted, and selected which state should appear as indication (normal, over or clicked)
(for demonstration only - no pagelinks added to the items)
