Panoramafotgrafie
Mit 360°-Fotografie oder sogenannter QuickTime Virtual Reality kann man Räumlichkeit(en) durchwandern oder um Objekte herumwandern.
Zur Betrachtung auf der Webseite benötigt man meist ein spezielles Plug-In, das oft mit Webbrowsern mitinstalliert wird bzw. kostenlos von Websites heruntergeladen werden kann z.B. QuickTime Player von der Apple Website.
Für die Erstellung eines Panoramas werden systematisch eine Reihe von Aufnahmen gemacht, farbkorrigiert, zusammengefügt und gegebenenfalls noch retuschiert.
Beispiele sind Innenräume wie Büros, Architekturstudios, Werkstätten, Filmtheater, Messestände, Kirchenschiffe und Aussenräume wie Stadtplätze, Sehenswürdigkeiten, Baustellen, Flugplätze, Wohnhäuser, Landschaften, Gärten, Urlaubshotels.
Diese Panoramen lassen sich so ausgeben, dass sich der User in ihnen „umdrehen“ bzw. interaktiv bewegen kann. Durch Verknüpfungen (sog. Hot Spots, die im Panorama angezeigt und angeklickt werden können) kann er sogar ein ganzes Gebäude von Raum zu Raum durchlaufen.
Eine andere – zusätzliche – Ausgabemöglichkeit ist das Breitbandpanoramabild. So kann dem User, der entweder kein Plug-In besitzt oder nicht auf das Laden des gesamten räumlichen Bildes warten möchte, wenigstens ein Still/Standfoto davon gezeigt werden.
Ausserdem kann man mit dieser Technik auch Objekte von allen Seiten begutachten und sie quasi am Bildschirm drehen.
Beispiele hierfür wären Produktpräsentationen: Werkzeuge, Autos, Schuhe, Schmuck, Koffer, Lampen.

Panoramic roundview in nearby forest/wood in the South of Munich/Germany after the first few centimetres of snow on 21st Dec 2004.
When you click the hot spot on the right leading path near that tree that stands against the sun you'll jump onto a small hill (30 metres in height) with a roundview slightly above the trees.
To get down to the path again klick the hot spot at the path leading down the little hill.

My grandfather who died during WWII had forged the windows and doors with iron bars and made the roof of the little chapel with the superb view. I try to walk up there once a year.
