I saw this lady when having an expensive lunch snack in Hyde Park/London. She was completely concentrated on the texts she was reading, enjoying the extraordinary beautiful weather but keeping her style (hat and jacket on), only the sleeves rolled up, with her arm skin revealing that she was much older than she seemed from the vivid face but obviously not trying to hide her age nor paying attention to it. A self-confident woman.
This pic was taken at the airport of Munich. To get from one airport section to the others passengers can use the conveyor belts in the basement which are alit by light installations of Daniel Flavin to avoid boredom.
This woman has successfully undergone a breast cancer surgery and relaxes now on her couch back at home. She has to carry around the bottle collecting liquor from her body and has placed this on the couch as well. You can see from her closed eyes that she is not sleeping or relaxing at all really ... rather the whole story of the recent month is flickering before her eyes...
This boy with very blonde hair and blue eyes leaned out of a balcony in France trying to catch glimpse of the scene going on on the street.
Rushhour on a local train with commuters returning home from offices in London. Very relaxed atmosphere on this sunny afternoon with cooling draught through the open windows, people reading books, looking out of the window or like this young woman concentrating on some ‘afterwork’.
These two women caught my eye with their matching blouse colours and white hair alit from the strong late summer sun against some dramatic clouds gathering behind them. They were heavily talking, laughing a lot and really having a good time.
Though this picture was taken during lunch with several friends, this man felt all alone. I took this picture in the moment he was telling that his wife had left him six months ago... When you look at the table you can assume how he tries to compensate ... or what might have been the reason ...
(some months later I was told he had been taken to hospital in state of ‘delirium’...)
